Fisiologia

Charmeleon é um reptiliano bípede semelhante ao Charmander. Tem escamas de um vermelho muito mais escuro do que a do vermelho brilhante do Charmander. Ele tem um rabo com uma chama na ponta (uma característica observada em muitos fogo-tipo Pokémon, especialmente o Charmander linha evolutiva). Seu crânio desenvolveu um chifre como proteção para a retaguarda e sua boca foi alongada em um focinho. As suas garras são muito grandes e afiadas, bem maiores e fortes que as do Charmander. Seus ataques tipo fogo também ficaram incrivelmente mais fortes. Combinados com suas garras e sua grande velocidade tornam Charmeleon um grande arma nos combates.

Habilidades Especiais

Charmeleon pode, evidentemente, cuspir fogo. Esse fogo é muito mais quente do que dos Charmanders. Isto é resultado de uma chama maior queimando na ponta da sua cauda. Possui grandes garras que utiliza em poderosos ataques, como Slash e Metal Claw (nas versões Fire Red e Leaf Green)

Comportamento

Charmeleon tendem a ser teimosos, mau-humorados e explosivos. Devido à sua incrível força em um nível evolutivo relativamente baixo, eles podem facilmente se sentir melhores do que os seus treinadores e, por vezes, irá ignorar os comandos. Quando domesticado, porém, eles são um adversário formidável e um parceiro leal. Charmeleons selvagens estão prontos para evoluir quando eles começam a viajar em diferentes áreas batalhando com aleatórios adversários, e as chamas nas suas caudas começam a ficar maiores.

Habitat

Montanha

Charmeleons são raros no meio selvagem, mas prosperaram em ambientes agressivos, como em íngremes montanhas e vulcões ativos. Charmeleons também habitam em grandes números minas abandonadas e vales aquecidos aos pés de vulcões.

Dieta

Charmeleons quando no estado selvagem são muito solitários e vão caçar sozinhos, muito diferentemente de Charmanders que caçam em bandos. Sua dieta é constituída principalmente de carne, mas também come algumas frutas se necessário, sendo classificado como Pokémon onívoro.
